Andros

One of the Cycladic islands, It has the lovely white-cubed houses so typical of these often dry islands. But Andros is an emerald isle that bubbles with rivers and streams. It has mountains, deep green valleys, forests, lemon groves, traditional villages with stone houses and cobblestoned paths, all linked by a well-marked network of nature trails. And it has more than 70 beaches. The neo-classical houses in the stylish main town of traffic-free Chora are a legacy of the island’s rich nautical history.
