Coco Ocean Resort and Spa

It is next door to a fascinating forest park with lots of wildlife, including monkeys and more than 100 species of birds.  No wonder the spectacular Coco Ocean Resort, an amazing mix of African and Moorish styles, is set in its own scenic gardens.

There is an unusual three-tiered outdoor swimming pool and some of the accommodation has private pools. The domed Moroccan spa, described as offering the ultimate holistic experience, has an indoor pool as well as 13 treatment rooms and sauna.

The main restaurant combines African and international cuisine and has spectacular views of the Atlantic and the sunsets. Guests can dine in the restaurant or courtyard. There is a second restaurant on the beach.  Some of the ingredients come from the hotel’s own garden.

Sunbeds and cabanas are provided on the soft sand of Bijilo beach which stretches away in both directions from the hotel. Towels are supplied for pool and beach use. Other facilities include a fitness centre, shop, hairdressing salon, library and coffee shop.

Kololi, a resort with restaurants and bars, is about 2kms along the beach. There are craft markets and a botanical garden in the area.
