Batsi at a glance

Batsi used to be a fishing village. It has now become the touristic place of Andros and is therefore the major resort of the island. Despite its touristic character, Batsi has kept a traditional and picturesque charm.

Athens is a very short ferry away and to be in either locations and not see the other seems like a wasted opportunity. Luckily our island hopping experience combines both incredible locations in one incredible journey, Check out our Athens and Andros island hopping today.

Description

Batsi is an old, traditional fishing village, which in recent years has been transformed into a tourist resort. It is just 7 km from Gavrio, the main port of Andros, and is really worth a visit.

This attractive town has traditional whitewashed red roofed houses which have been built amphi -theatrically, and encircles a bay with a lovely fishing harbour at its south end and a nice sandy beach at the other side. The town is cosmopolitan but maintaining the local colors, and a main destination for the visitors.

It therefore has all the expected and necessary comforts for nice holidays: taverns, ouzo shops, night-time entertainment, tourist agencies, hotels, room for rent, post office, bank, car and motorbike hiring agencies and many shops.

Andros is not short of beautiful beaches. All different: some busy, some quiet, some small, some large. We've done our research and created our Andros Top 10 beaches.
