Hersonissos

Ranked as one of Crete’s liveliest resorts, the cosmopolitan town of Hersonissos is well known for its scores of cafes, restaurants, bars, disco bars and English style pubs. Days can be spent relaxing on the sandy/shingle beach, where you may wish to try out the water sports, or visiting the old villages with their tranquil settings, charming tavernas and pretty houses.

Hersonissos holidays cater for all, although the young and lively are attracted in high season.

Please note: redevelopment works are currently underway along parts of the seafront, where some older beachfront bars and restaurants have been removed as part of plans to create a new pedestrian promenade. While this is expected to improve the area in the future, sections may currently appear unfinished. Hotels and main resort facilities remain unaffected.
